This is such a delicious and refreshing beverage and perfect for a hot summer’s day. You can either make a blackberry puree or a blackberry syrup depending on your taste.

Make 2 quarts of your favorite tea, Black, Orange Pekoe, or Green Tea per the package instructions. We use decaffeinated tea in ours.

Place 1 pint of blackberries in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
Drain the juice from the berries and press the pulp thru a strainer for added flavor. (1 pint of berries will probably make enough juice for 4 quarts of tea)
Alternatively, allow mixture to cool completely and add to a blender and puree, then run through a strainer to remove any pulp and seeds.
Add the blackberry juice to your taste to the tea.
Add stevia to taste (surprisingly it takes less to sweeten so start out with half of what you would usually use and add as necessary).

Peach Tea can be made the same way by cooking the peaches first to release more of the juice.

Other variations: raspberry, blueberry of course strawberry and orange, lemon or lime!
