Staring at this computer screen, listening to Matt Redman serenade me with 10,000 Reasons, my heart is so full. I am so very blessed.

I have a story to tell.
A few weeks ago, well actually a few months ago, I decided I was going to quit doing 7 Bites. It wasn’t going anywhere, I thought. It’s run its course, I said. I had 10,000 reasons to quit.

I was discouraged, downhearted, and un-motivated. I was ready to move on.
But I knew that I had other people counting on me for this, so I had to make sure that I was doing it for the right reasons.

So I prayed about it. I asked God flat out to send me a sign as to whether I was moving forward in my own flesh, or whether it was truly Him speaking to me and guiding me. I said out loud, “Lord,I don’t know what to do. I need wisdom and discernment. Please give me a sign if this is my flesh or if it is truly your voice.” Later that night, I got the sign I needed, and it honestly wasn’t the answer I either expected nor wanted.

God showed me that I am needed right where he has me. 7 Bites has become more than just a hobby. For me, it’s become a ministry. A place that I can talk to people and help them get through difficult times. Where people can come to me and ask my advice, experience, or even just for a little nudge or encouragement. We don’t have a huge following, I honestly don’t even know how many people will even read this blog post. But I do know that I am fighting a battle every day, and if I quit now, I will never win. If I quit now, the enemy wins – and who wants that?

How many times have you wanted to quit? How many times have you wanted to give up and go back to the way things were before your surgery? How many times have you said, “This is too hard. I just don’t want to do it anymore.”

There’s an old cliche: “Winners never quit and quitters never win.”
You will never move forward if you quit. If you quit, you will never change. Quitting will take away any chance you have to heal and to be healthy.

Every day, look at yourself and tell yourself that you are worth it. You are worth the fight. You are worth the battle.

God looked at you and said that you were worth the blood shed on the cross.
Christ looked at you and said that you were worth His sacrifice for your salvation.
You are loved beyond measure.
So, don’t quit.
Don’t you DARE quit.
Keep moving forward.
Slip up? Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep moving.
You can do it.
