So Jennifer has this friend that swears that the proper accompaniment for cinnamon ice cream is pickles. We’re not sure about that, but the peaches sure to well with it! The combination of the warm and cold is an awesome contrast to boot!

Grilled Peaches

4 -6 ripe peaches
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cut in half and remove the pit. Sprinkle with cinnamon and place inside down on a hot grill, leave long enough to get distinct grill marks.

Cinnamon Ice-Cream

1 Cup Whole Milk
¾ cup stevia
pinch salt
2 Cups Heavy Cream
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract

In a medium bowl use a whisk to combine the milk, splenda, salt and cinnamon until dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla. Cover and refrigerated up to 2 hours or overnight.

We used an ice cream maker and followed the directions of the manufacturer. It took about 20-25 minutes for the ice cream to be soft-serve ready!

Note: this is a basic ice cream recipe and any flavoring can be added by substituting for the cinnamon.
